The inq–001 is a smartpen: a real ballpoint pen, writing with real ink on real paper, that also creates a digital copy of everything you write. There are no switches and nothing to turn on — just pick it up and write, and the pen records every stroke. Your handwritten pages then appear in the free inq app on your phone, tablet, or computer, where they can be backed up, searched, transcribed to text, and shared.

How it works

Write in any INQ notebook — the pages carry a fine dot pattern the pen's sensor uses to know exactly where it is writing. The pen connects to your mobile device over Bluetooth: when connected, your handwriting appears on screen instantly; away from your device, the pen simply stores your writing (up to 75 pages) and syncs the next time you connect. The app also records audio while you take notes and links the recording to your handwriting, so you can replay what was said as you wrote it.

Who it's for

Students capturing lectures, professionals keeping meeting notes, and anyone who thinks best on paper but needs their notes organized, searchable, and impossible to lose.
