Schools, colleges, universities, healthcare and government institutions across Canada have bought their smartpens from SmartpenCentral for many years. This page explains how institutional purchasing works with us — purchase orders, terms, invoicing and funding.

Ordering by purchase order
We accept purchase orders from Canadian institutions. Two ways to proceed:
- Email your PO to support@smartpencentral.com with the products and quantities you need, your billing address, and the delivery address. We confirm stock and pricing by return email, ship, and invoice against your PO number.
- Order online at checkout and select “Purchase Order / Pay by Cheque” as the payment method, entering your PO number. Your order ships once we've confirmed the details.
Terms and invoicing
- Net-30 terms for approved institutions. If your organization buys from us for the first time, a quick email is usually all it takes to set this up.
- Invoicing in Canadian dollars, from a Canadian company. No customs, brokerage or exchange-rate surprises — SmartpenCentral is a division of Valcomp Technology Inc.
- Invoices carry our GST/HST and QST registration numbers, as your accounts-payable team expects.
Shipping
Delivery is fast and free to standard addresses across Canada (the Northern territories are the exception — details on our Shipping & Returns page). Orders dispatch same-day from Woodbridge, Ontario when placed on a business day and stock is on hand.
Support in French and English
Our store, our documentation and our support are available in both official languages — ask your questions in whichever language suits you, et nous répondrons dans la même langue.
Assistive-technology funding
Many of our institutional orders support students and employees using provincial assistive-technology funding — student-aid bursaries and workplace-accommodation programs among them. SmartpenCentral does not work with funding agencies directly, but the process is well worn: your accessibility or accommodations office coordinates the request, and the purchase (and often training, see our FAQ) is reimbursed through the program. We're glad to provide the quotes and documentation the application needs.
What to buy
Most institutions start with the INQ Writing Set — a smartpen with a dot-paper notebook — plus spare notebooks and ink refills for the year. If you support users on legacy Livescribe pens, we continue to stock compatible consumables.
